Savi Security Launches AI-Powered Defense Against Imposter Scams

The founders, whose backgrounds span national cyber defense and companies like Apple and Cisco, developed the technology after an AI-generated call targeted their mother. The scammer spoofed a sister’s voice and location data with chilling precision, revealing how cheaply and easily criminals can now weaponize public social media audio to execute complex grifts. While such attacks were once reserved for government agencies and Fortune 500 firms, the rise of affordable large language models has democratized high-level deception.

Savi functions as a real-time intervention tool for texts, emails, and incoming calls. Its standout feature is live call monitoring, where the app acts as a silent listener to flag behavioral inconsistencies during a conversation. This approach builds on data gathered from the brothers' free website, Scam Wise, which has processed over 50,000 user submissions in four months. The startup’s subscription model costs $8 monthly or $63 annually, covering an unlimited number of family members under one account to address the growing vulnerability of both older Americans and younger generations who are increasingly targeted by digital imposters.
