The network, which first launched last October, has secured capital from Powerhouse Capital, Axel Springer SE, and LadBible, alongside angel investors from OpenAI and DeepMind. This funding facilitates a move into a new Kings Cross studio and a transition from a twice-weekly stream to a five-day-a-week format. The daily show will feature a mix of news analysis, guest interviews, and roundtable debates, with upcoming appearances slated for industry figures like Sequoia partner George Robson and former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Chambers attributes the expansion to the sheer pace of the European tech sector, which has seen London startups raise $14.7 billion so far this year. With companies like ElevenLabs and Isomorphic Labs driving massive capital inflows, the founders found themselves managing 70 guest pitches a week, necessitating a more robust production schedule. While ETN operates from London, the team intends to remain a pan-European hub, traveling to conferences in cities like Athens and Paris to capture the diversity of the continent’s startup ecosystem.
Knight and Chambers emphasize that they are not looking to displace traditional journalism but rather to serve as tech-native insiders who provide a stage for founders to discuss product launches and funding milestones. By highlighting regional success stories, they hope to shift the career aspirations of the next generation away from traditional banking toward startup creation. The show currently sustains itself through advertising and sponsorships from companies including Polymarket and Base.
