Cyera Targets AI Security in $1 Billion Oasis Acquisition

Oasis Security, which has secured $195 million in funding from backers including Accel and Cyberstarts, specializes in managing the permissions and behavioral monitoring of AI-driven software. As businesses integrate more agents into their workflows, the risk of unauthorized access or rogue behavior has become a primary concern for security teams. By folding Oasis into its operations, Cyera intends to merge these identity-focused capabilities into its existing data security platform.

This move follows an aggressive expansion strategy for Cyera, which recently closed a $600 million funding round at a $12 billion valuation. Having already acquired Ryft and Genie Security, the company is scaling rapidly despite remaining unprofitable. With annual recurring revenue crossing $150 million and total funding reaching $2.3 billion, the firm is positioning itself as a central player in the race to neutralize AI-weaponized threats before they infiltrate enterprise networks.
