Priced at just $9, the device undercuts competitors like Brick and Unpluq by a significant margin. The premise is simple: you pair the key with a companion app, set your limits, and physically leave the fob in another room or at the office. Once you scan the key, you gain access for up to 60 minutes before the block automatically resets. The companion app tracks your habits with a sassy, AI-driven personality that mocks your lack of discipline if you constantly reach for your phone.

Technically, the system supports Android 8.0 and iOS 15 or later, with no subscription fees or premium tiers attached. However, the hardware is not flawless. During testing, the NFC sensor occasionally required multiple attempts to register, suggesting it is better suited for social media apps than essential communication tools. If you lose the key while apps are locked, you currently have to uninstall the app to regain control, though the company promises a future software update to address this vulnerability. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, the keys are now shipping in five distinct colors.
