Automattic brings personal CRM Mesh to Android

The Android version arrives with deep platform integration, including split-screen and pop-up views for multitasking alongside email or messaging apps. It supports hardware-specific features like keyboard shortcuts for foldables and tablets, alongside home screen widgets that adopt Material You color palettes. Real-time synchronization ensures that contact data remains consistent across all devices.

Automattic is positioning Mesh as a core component of its broader communication strategy, particularly alongside Beeper. The two services already feature interoperability, allowing users to draft messages or deep-link directly into contact profiles. Currently, about 70% of the user base employs the tool for professional networking, though co-founder Matthew Achariam emphasizes that the product remains designed for both consumer and executive needs. To support these connections, the team is testing Nexus AI, an early-access feature that helps users navigate complex networks by answering queries about contact expertise or locations. Mesh remains free for up to 1,000 contacts, with tiered subscriptions unlocking higher limits and advanced capabilities.
