Fitbit Founders Pivot to Family Care with Luffu Link Wearable

Fitbit Founders Pivot to Family Care with Luffu Link Wearable

The $250 device allows users to capture daily events through voice logging while automatically tracking heart rate, sleep, and activity. By integrating with the Luffu mobile app, the hardware identifies behavioral patterns and alerts family members to significant changes. Unlike fitness-focused trackers, the Link prioritizes ambient intelligence, using built-in GPS and LTE to share location and emergency voice messages without requiring a smartphone or additional carrier plans.

Designed to resemble jewelry rather than clinical equipment, the band avoids the stigma of traditional medical pendants. Park notes that the system is built to answer specific questions—such as whether a change in sleep or activity requires intervention—rather than overwhelming families with raw data dashboards. Currently available for pre-order in halo gold, onyx black, and sterling blue, the device is expected to ship in early 2027. The startup plans to expand this ecosystem further with an upcoming home-based device, continuing their mission to build an intelligent, integrated family care network.
