By training its models on local ordinances, state laws, and specific department protocols, the platform allows officers to verify procedures instantly rather than sifting through thousands of pages of manuals. Currently, the tool is utilized by 225 county agencies across 25 states, processing a query every minute.
The system acts as a reference library rather than an autonomous decision-maker. When an officer queries the app, it cites the exact regulation required for a situation, leaving the final judgment to the individual in the field. This capability has already seen practical application, such as helping a rookie officer identify the legal grounds to stop a child abduction or reminding a department head of mandatory mental health evaluation protocols following officer-involved shootings.
Lawrence founded the company alongside former Google engineer Amit Patankar and retired Boston police deputy chief Michael Gropman. With fresh capital from SignalFire and Las Olas VC, the team aims to expand its footprint in a market currently dominated by Lexipol.
