Console’s automated troubleshooting capabilities—ranging from password resets to complex access management—placed it in direct competition with Serval, another ServiceNow challenger currently valued at $1 billion. With this purchase, Palo Alto Networks continues an aggressive consolidation strategy, marking its seventh acquisition of 2026. The move follows recent high-value deals for firms like Chronosphere and Koi, signaling a broader push to dominate the AI-augmented IT service management landscape.
