Angle Health secures $2.7 billion valuation in $600 million funding round

The capital injection, expected to close later this month, includes significant participation from Town Hall Ventures, Blumberg Capital, Portage Ventures, PruVen Capital, and Y Combinator. By providing a liquidity event through the tender offer, the company allows employees to cash out portions of their equity.

Founded in 2019, the Y Combinator winter 2020 alum operates by facilitating "level-funded" health plans. This model bridges the gap between traditional fully insured plans, where carriers absorb all risks, and self-funded plans, which expose employers to unpredictable costs. Angle Health integrates with existing payroll and HR systems to manage these payments, allowing businesses to hedge against high medical expenses while reclaiming a portion of the surplus if claims remain low. The company reports it is currently profitable and continues to scale its platform for small-business clients.
