Eight Sleep Debuts Pod 6 With Solo Options and Faster Cooling

The company is rolling out the hardware across 37 countries today, with standard models starting at $2,699. Beyond hardware updates, Eight Sleep is seeking FDA approval to classify its technology as a regulated medical device for treating sleep apnea. This pivot toward clinical utility coincides with a broader international expansion, as the brand recently entered markets including China, Singapore, and Qatar.

International sales now account for more than 30% of total revenue, according to CEO Matteo Franceschetti. As the company integrates more AI-driven features, it faces the challenge of a tightening supply chain for high-end electronics. Franceschetti noted that competition for components from AI firms is forcing a reconfiguration of their supply chain to maintain production capacity for their increasingly compute-heavy sleep systems.
