Five startups turning heads at the PearX demo day

The program differentiates itself through its bespoke investment model, offering up to $2 million per startup rather than standardized terms. At last week’s demo day, investors highlighted five companies that stood out for their technical ambition and market potential.

Speridlabs is targeting the 3D space with Mundus, a model designed to maintain geometric persistence, allowing users to modify specific parts of a scene without breaking the entire environment—a hurdle the company claims competitors like Runway and Google’s Genie have yet to clear. In the hardware space, Saia is taking a aggressive stance against energy-intensive infrastructure. Founded by 20-year-old Ayaan Govil, the company is developing a chip that runs AI directly from flash storage, aiming for mass production by 2028 with claims of eight times the capacity of Nvidia’s Jetson at a fraction of the power.

Security and automation define the remaining standouts. Ren positions itself as a privacy-focused personal assistant, opting for on-device processing and fully automated voice systems to eliminate human exposure to sensitive data. In the financial sector, Veros is tackling the complexity of trust and estate planning; it currently manages $250 million in assets and is pursuing a trust charter to operate as a regulated entity. Finally, Datum is streamlining industrial engineering by indexing 3D design libraries. Using proprietary Geometric Fingerprint technology, it allows engineers to search and reuse existing components, targeting the massive, fragmented physical design market.
