JustWatch pivots from streaming guide to content provider

The expansion brings together content from over 30 partners, including Paramount, New Regency, and Fremantle, alongside regional distributors like Cineverse and LEONINE Studios. The service debuts across 12 markets, including the U.S., U.K., and Germany. By moving into hosting, the company aims to leverage its massive trove of audience data to refine its recommendation engine while maintaining its original role as a neutral traffic driver for other platforms.

JustWatch TV Plus, the ad-free tier, launches in the U.S. at $3.99 per month or a one-time $49.99 lifetime fee. This subscription grants access to over 300 ad-free titles and discounts on a new integrated movie rental store. While the company faces competition from established players like Tubi and Roku, it distinguishes its offering through user-driven content curation, allowing subscribers to request specific titles to shape the platform's catalog.
