It operates within a virtual machine, executing complex tasks independently and requesting human confirmation only for critical steps. While the agent can facilitate online purchases through Stripe’s Link or Shopify’s Shop Pay, it remains restricted from trading securities or transferring funds between bank accounts.
Security remains a central pillar of the release, with Anthropic deploying a new classifier to intercept and block requests for sensitive data like government IDs or credit card numbers. The agent is currently available in a research preview for Pro and Max subscribers on iOS, Android, and the web, though prospective users must join a waitlist to gain access.
