Mark Heenehan

Mark Heenehanis an American-British actor, singer and theatre performer. He is known for voicing Tinky Winky. Heenehan only dubbed Tinky Winky's voice in the first 70 episodes where Dave Thompson performed in the suit until Simon Shelton took over the role (though archived recordings -and Thompson's costume portrayals-can be still featured in archived footage in following episodes, along with archived recordings still being used in various merchandising).

Currently, Simon Shelton is replaced by Jeremiah Krage and Simon Shelton died in 2018. Mark Heenehan gave Tinky Winky a very masculine (and out of all the Teletubbies, the deepest) and jolly voice, however, his American accent tends to come out at times. Since Heenehan didn't perform in the suit, in the credits he is credited as an additional voice.
