The hardware overhaul centers on a redesigned, more durable hinge and a display upgrade. Google has integrated its Super Actua technology into the outer screen, achieving a peak brightness of 3,600 nits. Across both internal and external panels, the company claims a 20 percent increase in light output compared to the previous generation. This reduction in size and weight—roughly 20 grams lighter and 1mm thinner—comes at the expense of raw power, as the battery capacity has been scaled back to 4,750 mAh from 5,015 mAh.

Photography capabilities see a boost through a new 48-megapixel sensor designed for improved light sensitivity. Supported by the G6 Tensor chip and a revised image processor, the device now achieves 30x digital zoom, a notable leap over the 20x limit of its predecessor. Alongside these changes, the device supports 25W wireless charging and arrives in two colorways, Olive and Obsidian.
