The assistant is currently available in Early Access for both Hindi and English speakers. Once the testing phase concludes, Amazon plans to offer the service at no additional cost to Prime members. For other users, the subscription is priced at ₹2,000 per month. Beyond standard queries, the upgraded Alexa handles multi-step tasks, such as coordinating grocery orders through Amazon Now or managing connected smart home devices.
Integration remains a core focus, with the system now linked to major local platforms including Swiggy, Zomato’s District, MakeMyTrip, TripAdvisor, and EazyDiner. Music streaming is supported via Amazon Music and JioSaavn. This rollout follows a strategic expansion of the Alexa+ platform, which first debuted in the U.S. in 2026 before reaching markets across Europe and Latin America. Given that India hosts over 600 million Hindi speakers, this deployment aims to capitalize on a 20% year-over-year growth in local smart home device adoption.
