The device reportedly relies on a proprietary operating system, a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, and deep integration with the xAI division's Grok. If realized, this hardware would serve as the physical vessel for Musk’s long-standing "everything app" vision, consolidating messaging, payments, and AI assistance into a closed ecosystem. By tethering such a device to Starlink’s global connectivity, Musk could theoretically achieve a consumer stack entirely independent of Apple and Google.

SpaceX maintains that the project remains in its infancy, noting that designs are fluid and a commercial release is not guaranteed. Musk has explicitly labeled the Wall Street Journal report as false, yet the industry momentum suggests otherwise.
