Sreenivas Ratnam’s Naval Strategy for Bondada Group’s Billion-Dollar Goal

Sreenivas Ratnam’s Naval Strategy for Bondada Group’s Billion-Dollar Goal

Joining the company in mid-2025, Ratnam has accelerated a pivot from Bondada’s traditional telecommunications roots toward renewable energy and battery storage. The firm has recorded a compound annual growth rate of nearly 100 percent over the last four years, fueled by a strategy of operational efficiency and partnerships with firms like Mahati Industries. Ratnam views this growth not merely as a commercial success but as a contribution to India’s national vision for energy security.

The company’s Vision 2030 roadmap outlines an ambitious transition, seeking to shift its revenue split from a 90:10 ratio of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects versus manufacturing to a more balanced 70:30. By moving away from generic products toward intellectual property-based, high-technology manufacturing, the leadership aims to reduce reliance on foreign imports. This shift is already visible in their Eco Build vertical, which produces uPVC profiles using entirely domestic raw materials. With plans to hit 25 gigawatts in renewable energy capacity, Ratnam is positioning the group to pivot from a service-heavy model to a specialized, self-reliant manufacturing powerhouse.
